FERRARI have blasted the Singapore Grand Prix track as fit for a ‘circus’ following their Far East flop on Sunday.

The Italian team were stunned after Formula One’s first night race as Felipe Massa was held up by a bungled pit stop and their world champ Kimi Raikkonen crashed near the end.

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo was also fuming as the safety car was used twice — helping Renault’s Fernando Alonso clinch a shock win.

Di Montezemolo rapped: “When we race on tracks which should be used for the circus anything can happen — including the spectacle of the safety car.

“All this is humiliating for F1 and it is an aspect I want to talk about with the other teams in the next few weeks.” McLaren’s British star Lewis Hamilton has a seven-point lead over Massa with three races left.

WILLIAMS, the only F1 team not owned by a car manufacturer or billionaire, made a loss of £21.4million in 2007 — £6.3m less than the previous year.
