Troy joy over world title treble

TROY BAYLISS celebrated his third World Superbike championship in style by bagging his 50th race win at Magny-Cours in France.

Aussie Bayliss took third in the first race to guarantee adding to his titles of 2001 and 2006.

The Ducati star then won the second showdown and declared: “I really wanted to take this title on three different kinds of bike. I had a lot of pressure, a lot of things on my mind the whole year. It has been pretty strenuous.”

Bayliss leads the standings with 410 points after 13 rounds. Japan’s Noriyuki Haga, who won race one, is second and Troy Corser of Australia third.
