MAKING HIS MARK ... Calderwood has earned a spot in England's World Cup train-on squad
But the Wigan winger’s selection is bad news for Scotland, who had already named him in their squad.
Calderwood, who qualified through his Scottish grandparents, yesterday withdrew from their squad after getting the call from England boss Tony Smith.

Calderwood convinced Smith to select him with a brilliant display in Wigan’s 18-14 playoff defeat by Leeds on Friday.
Smith has also named three other Wigan players in his train on squad.
Prop Stuart Fielden is recalled to the international set-up for the first time since the 2006 Tri-Nations.
Hooker Mickey Higham and second rower Gareth Hock are also named.
Smith will finalise his 40 man train on squad after next Saturday’s Grand Final between St Helens and Leeds.
