McNabb is the Don for Eagles

DONOVAN McNABB answered his critics by leading Philadelphia to a 48-20 rout of play-off hopefuls Arizona.

Just four days after the worst game of his career, when he was benched at half-time of their 36-7 defeat at Baltimore, the Eagles’ superstar quarterback fired four touchdown passes.

And he insisted: “Adversity always happens in the quarterback position. It’s how you pull yourself out of it.”

The setback was a shocker for the Cardinals, who just needed a win to clinch their first division title since 1975. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt said: “We just came out flat.”

DALLAS continued to blaze their way back into the play-off picture with a 34-9 thrashing of Seattle that moves them ahead of arch-rivals Washington, who face champs New York Giants tomorrow.

TV TIMES: Tomorrow, 6pm Sky Sports 2, Tampa v New Orleans followed by San Diego v Atlanta and Minnesota v Chicago.
