THEY should win their group without too many problems and won’t slip up in Kiev tomorrow.
They have a new confidence with Walcott and Adebayor brimming with confidence.
Arsenal have the quality to win both the Premier and Champions League but the problem is the size of their squad.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TIP: Semi-finals.
LIVERPOOL
I’VE been impressed by Liverpool. They were the better team against Manchester United, deserved the win, and this with Torres and Gerrard on the bench.
European teams are intimidated at Anfield which is why Liverpool are strong at home in the tournament. And I don’t see them losing in Marseille tonight.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TIP: Semi-finals.
MANCHESTER UNITED
THEY are a bit below-par and Berbatov, apart from his part in the opening goal at Liverpool, didn’t do a lot otherwise.
But when it comes to Europe, United will raise their game. I expect them to finish top of their group and go deep into the tournament, possibly with another appearance in the final.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TIP: Finalists.
CHELSEA
LOSING on penalties in last year’s final still hurts everyone at the club. This will drive them on and players such as John Terry and Frank Lampard will want to finish off the job.
Chelsea have a decent chance of winning both the Premier and Champions League as they have so much strength in depth.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TIP: Winners.
IT WON’T be long before newly-rich Manchester City are in the Champions League. But this season I have them down as a decent bet to do well in the UEFA Cup.
I’m hoping my boy Shaun will have a good season while Robinho — as he showed against Chelsea on Saturday — is a real talent.
