The British girl, 14, reached her first professional semi-final before eventually losing to Estonian Maret Ani 6-2 3-6 6-0 at an ITF event in Shrewsbury.
Robson could not live with world No105 Ani, 26, in the deciding set but believes plenty of positives can be taken from her performance at the tournament, which earned her £1,500 for a week's work.
Junior WImbledon champion Robson said: "I now know I can play with the women players but they have got so much more experience.
"I'm still going to play juniors in the big events next year and just work my way into the women's tour because there is no rush at all."
LTA head women's coach Nigel Sears said: "To me there are distinct similarities between Laura and Andy Murray.
"You cannot fail to recognise such a depth of class when they are both on a tennis court."
