Katy Perry has taken the charts AND fashion watchers by storm with her debut single and subsequent red carpet outings in her cute, kitsch and OTT girlie wardrobe.

But even she can't pull off glossy, patterned tights and pumps. Especially at a gig.

We'll let her off this time because we love the girl for trying to be different (you won't ever see Katy looking boring in jeans and a t-shirt).

And for services to playsuits alone she deserves a fashion gong.

Next time though, leave the novelty hosiery at home Ms Perry.
